As a result of the experimental studies, it has been established that ophthalmic hypertension is a cocataractogenic factor, which contributes to the accelerated development of cloudiness of the lens during modeling of light cataracts. At the same time, the processes of lipid peroxidation increase (increased level of diene conjugates and malonic dialdehyde), glutathione system disturbance, decrease in the activity of the enzyme antioxidant system (superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and catalase) and the content of thiol protein groups in the lens and in the chamber moisture of animals in comparison with cataractogenic the effect of light alone, which indicates an intensive development of oxidative stress. Instillations of carnosine in cataract modeling increased the resistance of the lens to the cataractogenic action of light in ophthalmic hypertension (after 10 weeks V the degree of cloudiness was observed in 8,3 % of lenses, while without the drug - 20,0 %) and reduced the accumulation of peroxidation products of lipids, increasing the activity of the enzyme and glutathione antioxidant systems of the lens. Modeling of anterior uveitis in conditions of ophthalmic hypertension leads to a more intense decrease in the activity of superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and catalase, the activation of superoxide producing enzymes xanthine oxidase and NADN- oxidase, an increase in the level of diene conjugates and malonic dialdehyde in the tissues of the uveal tract and in the chamber moisture of rabbits compared with animals only with ophthalmic hypertension or uveitis. The revealed metabolic disturbances suggest that oxidative stress is a pathogenic factor in the action of ophthalmic hypertension as a factor contributing to the complication of both cataractogenesis and inflammatory processes in the anterior eye of the eye. In the case of anterior uveitis, which has developed in the primary open-angle glaucoma of high pressure, the Product Description popup.authors Endrzheevska T. Aldahduh Motasi M. Baidan Olena I.
