The object of the Research – artifacts and phenomena of traditional folk culture of the villages of Manevytskyi district, Volynska region.
The research objective – to study the traditional spiritual and material culture of Manevytskyi district, Volynska region, to identify its archaic elements, to find out the state of existence of traditional culture in the present period and changes that took place in it during the last decades.
Methods of the research – field collection of ethnographic, folk, art history and linguistic information, in particular surveys, observations, interviews, audio-, photo-, video fixation, processing of the collected materials, for instance, synchronous, typological, complex and comparative historical analysis.
During the complex historical and ethnographic expedition, 26 villages of Manevytskyi district, Volynska region were surveyed, 1185 respondents were interviewed through 20 directions of the research. During 2016-2017, 500 hours of audio recordings were transcribed and systematized (over 362 printers sheets); 8660 photos were certificated; 21 hours of video recordings have been transcribed (registers of scenes); drawings of 10 objects of traditional buildings were carried out. The scientific report has been prepared (20 analytical reviews on thematic directions of the research – 23 printers sheets).
The results obtained will be used in the process of formation of the research and information fund of ethno-cultural heritage of the affected villages of Ukrainian Polissia.
