Lazaryan popup.description2  The object of research in research work is the case insulation of traction electric locomotive machines. The purpose of the work is to increase the functional reliability of traction electric motors of locomotives and reduce the cost of their maintenance system. The objective is achieved by developing new and improving existing methods and means of the theory of rational containment of rolling stock. The main methods for performing research are methods of mathematical modeling, optimization methods, methods of reliability theory and mathematical statistics. The scientific novelty of the obtained results consists in the obtained analytical dependencies for the determination of the indicators of the frame insulation, which differ from the indicators used in the diagnosis of the traction electric mashine. Practical meaning. The application of the developed system for assessing the quality of frame insulation enables to assess the current state of isolation, automate the collection, registration, processing and analysis of current diagnostic information obtained during the isolation test. The economic effect from the implementation of research work results is ensured by increasing the mileage of locomotives and reducing the cost of maintaining of the traction electric mashine.
