The ability to control the process of their growth, development and reproduction, obtaining biomass with the specified characteristics will allow to increase the productivity of zooplankton and to provide high quality biopolymers. Compared to the natural feed components, the potential for using by-products of the production of synbiotics - "protein mass" as a feed for the cultivation of branched crustaceans, has been established. The content of total protein and chitin in their biomass reaches quite high values. The resulting ratio of the biochemical constituents of crustacean biomass is most likely related to the use of protein-rich yeast components containing some chitin as feed.
