Complex modern physical and chemical methods of analysis of chemical composition, atomic and molecular structure of the surface, research of optical, electrical, magnetic, sorption, structural-mechanical and thermophysical characteristics, etc., were used in the implementation of the topic. Methods of X-ray and X-ray structural analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectrometry, electron Auger spectrometry were applied; infrared, visible and ultraviolet spectrometry, thermoprogrammed and laser desorption mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry, optical, electron and atomic force microscopy, derivatography, microcalorimetry, etc. In the required cases, theoretical studies were performed using quantum chemistry and computer simulation of the surface of nanoscale systems at the atomic molecular level and the like.
