At the same time, provide a forecast of the temperature and chemical composition of the steelmaking bath in all periods of steel smelting, including in the liquid period. The object of study is steelmaking furnaces of the open-hearth shop of PJSC “Zaporizhstal”. Research methods: nonlinear simplex method; thermodynamic analysis of the metal-slag-gas system. A thermodynamic model of a liquid steelmaking bath has been developed, including the metal, slag and gas phases. The model allows to forecast the main parameters of the heat before the actual temperature measurements and rapid analysis of the metal, and then adjust the predicted trajectories according to the actual measurements. The model relies on the readings of natural gas and oxygen flowmeters, positional lance position sensors, which makes it possible to increase the accuracy of forecasting. Based on the results of the research, the algorithm for solving the problem of optimizing deoxidation-alloying of steel at the outlet from the furnace has been improved; the list of available materials for alloying and blending of melting has been expanded; a real-time melting parameters monitoring module was launched with a real-time forecast on the temperature of the liquid metal and the carbon content in it, starting from heating and ending with the release from the furnace. Results of research have been introduced in the technology of steel production in the open-hearth shop of PJSC “Zaporizhstal”.
