The object of study is the process of controlling the integral parameters of water pollution by substances contained in hazardous waste. The purpose of the work is to ensure environmental safety in the field of hazardous waste management and to improve the efficiency of assessing their complex impact on water bodies using methods and means of multispectral environmental monitoring and biosensors. Research Methods - in solving the set tasks, the methods of the theory of radiation transfer in aqueous media were used; mathematical models of the formation of multispectral images; mathematical statistics methods for processing the spectral characteristics of aquatic environments; processing of multispectral images, namely their segmentation and filtering; methods of measurement theory for assessing the reliability of monitoring parameters of water pollution on the basis of improved methods of multispectral environmental monitoring and developed technical means. At the second stage, the environmental risks of water pollution by hazardous waste components were assessed and the methods and means of their environmental monitoring were improved. The environmental risks of water pollution by hazardous waste components are calculated. The environmental risks of the impact on the health of the population of hazardous waste components are calculated.
