Object of study – methods of diagnostics, means of prevention of coronavirus enteritis of dogs.
The subject of the study is epizootological monitoring, virological techniques for coronaviruses, pathoanatomical, histological, immunohistochemical and serological methods of diagnosis. Prophylactic biologicals for animal coronaviruses.
The purpose and objectives of the study. The purpose of scientific research is to investigate and epizootological, virological, pathomorphological features of coronavirus infection of dogs and the immune response of the body to the action of vaccines and spontaneous and experimental infection.
To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set:
- to find out the anatomical features and morphotography of the inside of dogs, to determine morphological parameters of intestines, spleen, liver, etc. In dogs of different breeds and sexes from 2 to 6 months old, who died with signs of coronavirus infection;
- to determine the nosological profile of enteritis and establish the role of coronavirus enteritis in infectious pathology of dogs;
- to study epizootic features of coronavirus infection in dogs;
- to investigate morphological changes of blood, indicators of erythrocytopoiesis with coronavirus enteritis;
- to investigate the cultural properties of the dog virus of the coronaviridae family;
- to find out pathomorphological changes in dogs for coronavirus enteritis.
Scientific results, its novelty, scientific level, significance and practical application: research developments consist in the creation of the latest methods and systems for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of coronavirus diseases of animals (coronavirus enteritis of dogs). Modern laboratory studies will be conducted to develop diagnostic methods based on the virological properties of the pathogen.
