It was found that specific isoforms of phospholipase D (PLD) play a role in stress hormone action in plants. PLDβ1 and PLDγ1 isoforms are involved in jasmonic acid action, whereas PLDγ1 is involved in salicylic acid action in heavy metal tolerance in Arabidopsis thaliana plants. Among the peptides of SCOOP family, the action of SCOOP12 peptide in peroxide generation was the most similar to SCOOP12 peptide.
