Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Based on compliance with the requirements of MQC manufactured substance and ointment TD (oTD), confirmed the possibility of industrial production ~ 1 million tubes of oTD from previously produced Sulfocarbation-K (SKK). On the basis of TD an original method of treating fungal diseases was developed, which allows reducing the treatment period by 1.5–4 times as compared with Clotrimazole. The original compositions of TD with urea, calcium thioglycolate (by 5-6 times increase the penetration of TD to the lesion, promotes painless removal of the sick nail), gentamicin sulfate and betamethasone dipropionate (provides antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action) were proposed. The procedure for the manufacture of compositions was substantiated and introduced into pharmacy of KP “Pharmacy” in Kyiv. The treatment regimens were developed and compositions were studied at the Alexander Clinical Hospital in Kyiv and podologic offices of Ukraine, the effectiveness of the developed medicines was shown, the absence of side effects. 446 patients were treated. The re-registration of the second in the history of Ukraine of the original domestic antimycotic (oTD) was completed, the Registration Certificate of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine was obtained, the grounds for industrial production and use of the drug were created. Tube model developed and coordinated with Kharkov Tube Plant; issue of a party of tubas (20,000) was agreed. It has been agreed with the Licensee a draft of License contract for the use of TD-based composition for the treatment of fungal skin and nail diseases. It was received a request from Israel for research on the developed compositions. 2 scientific articles were prepared and published on the project of the work, 6 applications for inventions were submitted, 2 patents were obtained.
