Study subject: clinic-anamnestic, clinic-neurologic, neurophysiologic, neuroimaging and pharmacogenetic data of children with pharmacologically resistant epilepsy. Data volume: 116 children of age between 11 months and 18 years (63 boys, 53 girls). Research goal: to work out and implement personalized approaches to pharmacologic therapy correction in children with pharmacologically resistant epilepsies, which take into consideration polymorphism of cytochrome P450 genes; to evaluate their efficacy and safety. Methods: clinico-anamnestic, clinico-neurologic, clinico-neuropsychological, neurophysiologic, neuroimaging genetical (alell-specific PCR), statistical. There were discovered that some single nucleotide polymorphisms present in 64,66 % of the studied group; defined that polymorphisms frequency of CYP3A4*1B and CYP2C19*2 is reliably higher than in general Ukrainian and other European populations; frequency of CYP2С19 polymorphisms is definitely higher than by Russian, Turkish and Indian researchers’ data for children with epilepsy. Peculiarities of epilepsy course in children with cytochrome P450 genes’ polymorphisms were defined, approaches for antiepileptic drag correction were worked out and had been shown that their implementation allow to achieve seizure control in 26,19 % children and 50 % seizure decrease in 23,80 % patients.
