Research methods: hygienic, medical questionnaire, statistical. In the current year, 253 persons of working age were surveyed, 89 of them living in Korostyshiv district of Zhytomyr region and 164 living in Ivankiv district of Kyiv region. Hygienic assessment of the actual nutrition of working age adults - men, women I, II, III labor intensity groups living in Ivankiv district of Kyiv region and men IV labor intensity group living in Korostyshiv district of Zhytomyr region was conducted. It was found that the diet of both men and women did not meet the recommended standards. Thus, the diets of men of the first group of labor intensity were the most deficient in the content of meat and meat products – up to 55 %; fish and fish products – up to 72 %; milk and milk products – up to 57; fruits – up to 58 %. They consumed bread, legumes, cereals, bacon, sour cream, eggs. The most unbalanced diets of women in I, II and III groups of labor intensity in terms of bread and bread content – up to 41,4 %; meat and meat products – up to 63,9 %; milk and milk products – up to 40,0 %; vegetables – up to 25,5 %; cheese – up to 80,0 %. In doing so, women consumed excess cereals, eggs, potatoes and confectionery. It was found that more than 50,0 % of both men and women used iodized salt in their diet rarely or never.
