Objective: improve effectiveness of detecting disorders of psychomotor development in children at early age. Methods: psychodiagnostic (ASQ-3 questionnaire). Results: Ukrainian version of ASQ-3 questionnaire has been translated and agreed with the authors. Adaptation of the questionnaire, study of early childhood development and its diagnostic capabilities were conducted.Peculiarities of children development with regard to their age, sex and place of residence are determined. Comparative analysis of indicators related to development of young children in Ukraine, Georgia and the USA is carried out. Novelty: Ukrainian-language variant of ASQ-3 questionnaire has been applied for the first time among young children and indicators of children's development in Ukraine were obtained with relation to this procedure. Differences of development of young children from Ukraine, Georgia and the USA are revealed. The procedure used has a high diagnostic sensitivity, simplified procedure for carrying out and calculation in comparison with existing methods and attracts parents as experts for screening assessment of their own child development. Effectiveness: early diagnosis reduces the costs of treatment and social adaptation of young children with developmental disorders. ASQ-3 procedure does not require significant training costs.
