The object of research is electric vehicle and its interaction with electric grids during charging. The work is dedicated to improvement of energy efficiency for both electric vehicles and electric power utilities. To do that vehicle-to-grid technology is examined, which implies the use of vehicle’s battery for load leveling in electric grids. Schematic solutions for power electronic converters within fast charging stations are developed and issues of electromagnetic compatibility are addressed. Cost-benefit analysis is carried out to verify the expediency of V2G technology.
