Stage IV of the work is devoted to the verification of modified surface layers of parts obtained under different conditions of friction under vibration and ultrasonic shock loading, efficiency of implementation of the proposed technologies for responsible units and rolling stock details in the repair enterprises of the railway industry, in order to increase the detail of the resource operating conditions. The correlation between the results of bench tests of diesel engine parts and their express tests under dynamic loading was shown. For the first time, it was established that the material's wear resistance, which calculated of the yield strength determined by the indentation method, characterizes real surface hardening, better and more reliable than hardness.
