An urgent task solved in this research project is to automate processes of medical image processing, recognition, and analysis in order to improve the diagnostics quality. Another task solved in this project is patient’s personal data protection during its processing, storing, and transmitting in distributed computer systems and networks. RESEARCH OBJECTIVE. The objective is to develop methods, algorithms, and software which allow both to improve quality of human tissues express-diagnostics by means medical image processing based on modern intelligent technologies as well as to protect patient’s personal data during the automated processing. RESEARCH RESULTS. A medical image segmentation method, which uses the region growing algorithm in combination with the fuzzy K-means method, has been developed and investigated. A hybrid fuzzy neural network CNN-FNN was developed to classify tumors at human tissues medical image into two classes: benign and malignant. Learning methods for fuzzy neural network have been developed and investigated. A graphical data steganographic protection method based on bits correspondence scheme and a data protection method based on matrix barcodes were developed. The architecture of an archive medical image automated processing system with patient’s data protection has been developed. The concept of multimodal medical data representation and processing is developed. Experimental studies of the developed methods effectiveness have been conducted.
