A technique was developed for measuring the content of carbon or other light elements in the analysis of carbon-containing phases (or phases with other light elements) and tested on samples of calcium and strontium carbonates using the Energy + x-ray spectral analysis system with energy dispersive (EDS) and wavelength dispersive (WDS) spectrometers. Also The technique of nanosedimentological studies of marine bottom sediments of ice-related lithogenesis using electron microscopy and laser sedimentography has been improved and adapted. The technique was improved through application of a statistical processing program for particle size distribution analysis results interpretation. Moreover, the technique for analyzing the particle size distribution of finedispersed rocks was improved for bentonite clay samples using a Mastersizer 2000 laser sedimentograph with the Hydro 2000 S wet cell. A complex technique for studying the material composition and particle size distribution was improved for atmospheric aerosol samples and aquired results have been implemented in a research project of continuous field observations of quality and quantitative indicators of sedimentation substance in the composition of atmospheric and water flows within Zaporizhzhia city, etc.
