It is shown that solar cycle 24 was one of the weaker ones in a century. The number of sunspots was approximately 40% less than during cycle 23 of SA. In solar cycle 24, the number of strong geomagnetic storms and high energy solar events were low compared to cycle 23. The number of X-class solar flares in cycle 23 was almost 2.5 times higher than during the 24th cycle. As a result of low environmental pressures, an abnormal expansion of coronal mass ejection (CME) was observed in heliosphere in cycle 24, resulting in significantly fewer a number of storms. According to observations of solar wind parameters, a decrease in the solar wind flux density and pressure was observed in cycle 24 as a whole compared to the manifestations of cycle 23 of SA.
