Object of study: the process of creating effective protective clothing for the protection of human being against UV radiation. The purpose of the work is to develop a range of sewing goods for protection against UV radiation using textile materials modified by vat dyes and by method of hydrometallurgy. The range of sewing goods for protection of the person from the influence of natural and artificial UV radiation is developed and offered. The main factors that determine the protection level of the person from the negative effects of UV radiation are established. Among the factors considered, the most significant are the properties of textile materials and the design of clothing. The proposed design and technological solutions of garments provide simultaneous maximum protection against the action of UV radiation and high level of thermophysiological and sensory comfort of the person in the system "human being-clothes-environment"
