The aim of the research is development of the methodology for the fatigue fracture prediction of aircraft with multisite damage on the base of theoretical and experimental methods of the fatigue fracture researches. Methods of the research are experimental study of fatigue fracture of the specimens with multiple stress concentrators, methods of the mathematical statistics and probability theory. The methodology for the prediction of the critical state of aircraft structures with riveted joints has been created. The methodology is based on the statistical characteristics of multisite damage, random location of fatigue cracks along the line of their coalescence, statistical distribution of their dimensions, random nature of their nucleation and growth. Methodology includes new theoretical models of aircraft fatigue fracture under the multisite damage, methods for the numerical and laboratory experiments, methods for the instrumental assessment of the fatigue damage. The new theoretical model of the probabilistic prognosis of residual strength and service life for aircraft with multisite damage differs from existing model of this ензу by the accounting non uniformity of cracks length. The simulated model of the multisite damage of aircraft fuselage riveted joints is formed on the base of the Monte Carlo method. It allows for the performing numerical experiment with more complete accounting statistical characteristics of the process of fatigue cracks nucleation and propagation. The presented work is implemented in the State Enterprise «ANTONOV». Universality of the new methodology provides its application both in Ukrainian and world aviation fields. Results of the project extend educational programs for students on the specialties “Aviation and Space -Rockets technology” and «Aviation transport».
