Specifics and differences from traditional, subject-based learning are defined. The definition of a conceptual approach to providing comfortable and safe conditions for the development of the child with visual impairment in the educational space, realization of its natural potentials is substantiated. The peculiarities of standardizing the content of education of children with visual impairments are defined and theoretically substantiated: formation of speech, mathematical, ecological, information and communication, cultural, competence in the field of natural sciences, technology and technologies; civil and social competences related to the ideas of democracy, justice, equality, human rights, well-being and a healthy lifestyle, with awareness of equal rights and opportunities, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, and the formation of innovation in children with vision impairment.
