On day 7 after the tumor transplantation, the absolute number of lymphocytes and monocytes increased; on the terminal stages, their number decreased while the number of granulocytes rose. The functional state evaluation (cytotoxic and metabolic activities, NO production, and arginase activity) of macrophages, isolated from different bioniches during the growth of Ehrlich carcinoma, revealed that these cells progressively polarized from M1 phenotype (early after the tumor transplantation) towards M2 one (on the terminal stages). The obtained results open prospects for pursuit of new ways of applying the macrophages plasticity phenomenon in the cancer immunosurveillance reinforcement.
