 In the course of the research it was determined that competently oriented teaching of Ukrainian language to students - representatives of national minorities, provides for the account of their age psychophysiological features, psycholinguistic patterns of second language development (apperception, transposition, interference, etc.), the results of comparative analysis of language systems and languages. ), as well as children 's knowledge of their mother tongue, their life, learning and previous communication experiences. During the ascertaining experiment, which was organized and conducted on the basis of the experimental schools of Chernivtsi and Lviv regions, the level of knowledge of applicants for education in the Ukrainian language was recorded, as well as the degree of readiness of teachers to implement new approaches to teaching Ukrainian in general secondary education languages of national minorities.
