During the implementation of the theme software of web-resource Data Centre “Biodiversity of Ukraine” (DCBU) <http://dc.smnh.org/> has been refined and improved for the purpose of scientific monitoring of the biota, it was tested on a number of model objects (administrative and physiographic regions, water bodies, nature reserves, scientific plots, priority species) for different time intervals, places of increased concentration of Red Data Book of Ukraine species were identified within the limits of Lviv region, indices of biota rotation for some territories and constant sample plots are defined, algorithm of monitoring researches with the help of DCBU is outlined. The effectiveness of the use of the DCBU information resource for scientific monitoring of biota is substantiated. It is recommended that it be widely implemented and used in the nature reserves Ukraine facilities.
