Relevance of the problem is preconditioned by the significant change in the requirements for the quality of humanities training of future specialists at technical HEI in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area. Research objective: to provide scientific substantiation, develop and experimentally test the system of forming future specialists’ general competencies while teaching humanities at technical higher education institutions. Hypothesis of the research: on the basis of theoretical analysis, research and experimental work to substantiate the necessity of teaching humanities at technical higher education institutions as a leading link in the formation of a competitive specialist in the context of modern labor market demands, to develop an effective methodology for forming a future specialist’s professional competency. Novelty: to prove that humanities in technical higher education institutions located in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area are an important basis for the formation of a competitive specialist in the context of current labor market requirements. Efficiency: enhancement of the humanities component in the general principles of thinking of technical HEI students; ensuring unity of education, upbringing and development of an individual; creation of adapted educational environment and appropriate conditions for the growth of professional skill, future specialist’s moral and spiritual development. Research results are to be implemented in the educational process and proposed (through publications and reports at scientific and scientific-methodological conferences) for testing in other technical HEIs.
