For observing the secular evolution of the Cas-A supernova remnant, compilation results that were obtained at different times on different radio telescopes were used up to the present time. In our work we use two radio telescopes that are situate in the same astro-climatic conditions. To investigate the rate and/or variations of the evolution of the supernova shell, the radio galaxy Swan-A (3C 405) is used as the reference radio source. When using UTR-2 or GURT, both Cassiopeia-A and Swan-A have virtually identical angles at the time of their upper climax, so the ratio of these responses does not require additional calibration.
