There is offered the concept for small metallurgical enterpises (microplants) based on the use of domestic developments, in particular, magnetodynamic tundish (MD-T) for the processes of continuous and semi-continuous casting of steel. Requirements for such equipment are formulated and conditions for its effective use are determined. There are performed the studies of induction heating processes, electromagnetic stirring, removal of non-metallics, and electromagnetic pouring of liquid alloys in the MD-T. The rational technical and technological parameters of MD-T and additional specialized electromagnetic and magnetohydrodynamic devices for controlling the stirring and pouring processes of metal melts have been established and calculated
