A study of the equations describing the forces acting on the trolley from the body side of the locomotive section was carried out, which made it possible to further study the movement of the locomotive in the curved section of the track and go on to determine the force of pressing the wheel flange to the head of the rail.
The process of interaction of a wheel pair with a rail track has been investigated, namely, vertical and horizontal forces acting in the wheel-rail contact have been obtained, which will allow us to use their ratio to determine the possibility of the wheel derailment and ensure traffic safety.
