The object of research is the side frames and oversprung beams of freight carts of 1975-1983.
The purpose of the work is to prepare recommendations for extending the service life of side frames and oversprung beams of freight carriages 1975 - 1983 based on the results of bench resource tests.
Research method - bench resource tests of side frames and oversprung beams of carriages of freight cars 1975 - 1983 made by repeated cyclic loading with an asymmetric cycle with a constant average load on one forced mode of amplitude loading.
The determination of the actual residual life of the side frames and oversprung beams of freight cars 1975-1983 was made to provide recommendations for extending the service life of the side frames and oversprung beams of freight cars 1975-1983.
The results of the research are the basis for the final conclusion of the branch "Research and Design Institute of Railway Transport" of the joint-stock company "Ukrainian Railways" on the possibility of extending the service life of side frames and overhead splints cars 1975 - 1983 years of manufacture.
