The prevalence and harmfulness of beet nematode in three regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Ternopil and Vinnytsia on the total area of 1141.0 ha were determined. The resistance of 41 hybrids of sugar beets of domestic selection, 2 hybrids of sugar beets of foreign selection and 10 selection samples against their defeat by beet nematode was evaluated. Methodical recommendations for assessing the resistance of sugar beet against beet nematode have been developed.
