The report presents the results of research aimed at establishing the conditions and physical processes that allow the synthesis of nanocrystalline films of vanadium dioxide with thermochromic characteristics.
The properties of thermochromic VO2 films obtained by two methods were investigated: magnetron sputtering on a heated substrate (widely used) and magnetron sputtering on a "cold" (200oC) substrate with subsequent heat treatments, as well as analysis of the effect of heat treatments on their electrical and optical properties.
The efficiency of the proposed two-stage method of film formation, which consists mainly of a highly ordered monoclinic phase VO2, is demonstrated.
