Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using recombinant toxoid CRM197 to measure diphtheria antibodies level in human serum has been developed. This technique is tested on sera from peoples vaccinated against diphtheria. As a result of project, the prototype of immunoenzyme test-system for detecting the diphtheria toxin antibodies level in human was developed, and the technical specifications for the production of this immunoenzyme test-system were created. After introducing in production (Hema Ltd., Kyiv) the developed test-system can be used in mass screening studies of diphtheria immunity, as well as in clinical trials of new diphtheria vaccines.
