A study was conducted to create high-silibinin varieties of milk thistle and improve the system of their primary seed production based on the study and evaluation of varietal numbers for economically valuable and biochemical indicators. control variety Boykivchanka, are more precocious and in the composition of flavolignans belong to the group with a predominant content of silibinin, which is 60.03 - 61.15% of their total number. %; silibinin content - 2.76%; % of silibinin from the total amount of flavolignans - 61.15%; oil content - 30.55%; seed yield - 20.0 kg / ha and the required amount of high quality breeding material for its primary seed production.
A certificate of state registration of the Medea thistle variety was obtained.
