The methodological aspects of determining the optimal parameters of agro-technical measures are presented and on its basis the technology of watermelon cultivation on non-irrigated lands, adapted to the stressful natural and climatic conditions of the southern steppe of Ukraine, is developed. The results of production inspection are given where the economic and bioenergy efficiency of watermelon growing technology is determined.
