The subject of the research – mathematical models of delayed fracture of structural materials with fatigue cracks and creep cracks, as well as mathematical methods of implementation of these models to determine the residual life of structural elements. The objective of the research – on the basis of statistical methods and approaches of fracture mechanics of materials to formulate calculating models of kinetics of fatigue cracks growth in a frame of the electric locomotive bogie under operational mode. To achieve this goal, the general information about the structure and principles of operation of the electric locomotive is considered and the dynamic analysis of the bogie frame during the electric locomotive operation in the traction mode is carried out. Then the corresponding calculation models of fatigue cracks growth have been formulated and on their basis calculations of residual life of cracked beam of bogie frame has been carried out.
