As a result of the first stage of research, new electrochemical (bio)sensors for determination of arginine in solutions were developed. In particular, laboratory prototypes of conductometric biosensors based on arginase, urease and ammonium-selective zeolite clinoptilolite have been developed. The optimal ratios and conditions of immobilization of enzymes and zeolite in the selective elements of biosensors are determined. The influence of the method of co-immobilization of enzymes and clinoptilolite on the main analytical characteristics of the developed biosensors was investigated. The developed biosensors were compared with an arginine biosensor, which was not modified with clinoptilolite, in such parameters as sensitivity, linear and dynamic ranges, limit of detection, response time, operational and storage stability. Calibration curves for determination of arginine using the developed biosensors in buffer solutions of different composition were obtained. The laboratory prototypes of conductometric chemosensors based on arginine-sensitive derivatives of calixarenes were developed. The optimal concentration of calixarene-methylenebisphosphonic acid in the selective element of chemosensor was determined and the working characteristics of the corresponding chemosensors (sensitivity, limit of detection, linear range, signal reproducibility) were analyzed. Selectivity of the developed chemosensors was studied. The influence of the buffer solution parameters on operation of the chemosensor based on calixarene-phosphinic acid and its analytical characteristics were studied.
