The object of the study is the operational reserve of human resources of the Armed Forces (AF) of Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to develop Guidelines for improving the system of functioning of the military reserve of military units (subdivisions) taking into account the needs of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Research methods - analysis, synthesis, comparison of the results of the process of formation of the operational reserve of human resources. Results of research: 1. Comparative analysis of the experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign experience in the formation and preparation of operational reserves of human resources. 2. Methodical recommendations on improving the system of creating a military reserve of military units (subdivisions) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine based on the experience, standards and principles adopted in the armed forces of NATO and EU member states.
