Aim of work: to research the impact of balanced diets on the state of alimentary and alimentary-dependent diseases among people of working age living in radioactively contaminated areas as a result of the Chernobyl accident (continuation of the study). Research methods: hygienic, somatometric, sociological, medical questionnaires, statistical. 455 people of working age were surveyed, including 366 people living in Ivankiv district of Kyiv region and 89 people living in Korostyshiv district of Zhytomyr region. A hygienic assessment of the nutritional status of the adult working population - men, women of I-IV groups of labor intensity was carried out. Determination of body mass index showed that the percentage of men who had a normal body weight was 61,1%, women – 56,1%, overweight men – 29,0%, women – 28,6%, obesity of varying degrees of men – 9,1%, women – 14,8%, body weight deficit of men – 0,8%, women – 0,5%. The imbalance of men's diets has significantly affected the content of food ingredients: deficiency of essential nutrients, including PUFA (family of omega 3), vitamins A (even with β-carotene), D, C and a number of B vitamins, minerals (calcium), pectin and fiber in excess of simple carbohydrates, fats (saturated) and cholesterol. Women consumed an excess of mono- and dysaccharides, saturated fats and cholesterol. At the same time, their diet was deficient in the content of essential nutrients, in particular omega-3 PUFA, vitamins D, A (even taking into account β-carotene), a number of B vitamins, ascorbic acid, minerals: calcium, magnesium, heme iron; pectin and fiber.
