We identified Pl5, Pl6, Pl8 loci in them and distinguished 6 sunflower genotypes with combined genes of resistance to the downy mildew pathogen, which were submitted for testing to the Laboratory of Sunflower Genetics and Breeding of the PPI nd.a. VYa Yuriev NAAS; Methodical recommendations "Marker-Assisted Breeding for Resistance to Major Sunflower Diseases" and "Catalog of Genetic Value of Inbred Sunflower Lines and Winter Bread Wheat Varieties" were implemented into the research and educational processed of KhNAU nd.a. VV Dokuchaiev; Thirteen valuable sunflower accessions carrying the PL6 gene of resistance to the downy mildew pathogen, which had been identified by STS markers (НаР2, НаР3), were introduced into research of the Laboratory of Sunflower Genetics and Breeding of the PPI nd.a. VYa Yuriev NAAS; Monograph "Methodological Principles of Sunflower Breeding for Resistance to Major Diseases" is used in the research and educational processes of KhNAU nd.a. VV Dokuchaiev.
