Work objectives – development of the analytical approach for determination of hydrodynamic fields and acoustic radiation forces regularities in the compressible liquid filling the cavity and containing solid, liquid, gaseous or encapsulated particles. Investigation methods - analytical. An approach for investigation of the hydrodynamic characteristics of the system consisting of a semi-infinite circular cylindrical cavity filled with an ideal compressible liquid and spherical body located by the cavity end is developed. Plane harmonic wave propagates along the system axis and induces complex diffraction field that needs to be determined. The method of separation of variables are used along with the translational addition theorems for spherical wave functions and expressions of the spherical wave functions in terms of cylindrical functions and vice versa. In doing so, the all boundary conditions can be satisfied and exact analytical solution can be derived. Determination of the hydrodynamic characteristics yields the infinite system of algebraic equations. It is proved the system belongs to the system of normal type and can be solved by the reduction method, i.e. the solution can be found as the solution of the truncated system of the algebraic equations of the finite order.
