The subject of research - quantitative and qualitative characteristics of spring waters, their protection and system of use for drinking purposes in emergencies. The purpose of the work is to develop a backup system of drinking water supply of the population of Eastern Ukraine with spring water in emergency situations: military action or man-made disaster. Research methods - field surveys of sources, research of the current quality of spring waters and determination of its compliance with regulatory requirements, creation of digital maps of the location of sources by GIS, methods of geospatial analysis.
