 The purposeful analysis of the legislative base was carried out: Laws of Ukraine "On Education", "On General Secondary Education", "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity", "On Extracurricular Education", State Standard of Basic and Complete General Secondary Education, Standard of Specialized Education , National Qualifications Framework: for basic secondary education; for specialized secondary education, Regulations on scientific lyceum and scientific boarding lyceum. Which made it possible to structurally present a list of specialized educational institutions (SONS), according to each of them the main profiles and specializations of SONS, features and conditions of obtaining SONS, types and kinds of educational programs that provide students with learning outcomes defined by state standards (educational program specialized education of scientific direction of the initial level - early detection and general development of individual abilities, basic level (development of sustainable interests of applicants for basic secondary education to research, design, invention), higher level (professional orientation for gifted students), special educational program of scientific education for children with special educational needs) and appropriate types of educational programs (model educational programs; short-term; medium-term, long-term).
