9117. Object of research: introduced and collection samples of the gene pool of apple and pear in the varietal collections of the Experimental Station of Pomology named after LP Symyrenko. Purpose: introduction and comprehensive study of new samples on economically valuable traits, replenishment of the genetic bank of grain cult, ensuring long-term storage of gene pool samples. Research methods - long-term field, laboratory, microscopic, mathematical and statistical, computational. During the reporting period (2016-2020), 35 samples of apple and 25 samples of pear were introduced, including in 2020 - 7 samples of apple and 5 pears. 33 valuable specimens have been declared for registration with the NCGRRU, including -7 specimens (5 apple trees, 2 pears) in 2020. There are 530 (2020 - 125) sources of individual valuable traits and 97 (2020 - 20) sources of a set of traits: high yield, drought resistance, winter hardiness, high taste qualities of fruits, their shelf life, decorativeness. The selection programs used 111 (2020 - 18) samples of grain crops, on the genetic basis of which four new varieties were created: two apple trees (Mir, Debut) and two pears (Empire, Magician). 329 samples of grain crops were transferred to NDU, educational institutions and other consumers, including in 2020.
