Emphasis is placed on the fact that the lack of an established common identity that would unite the majority of citizens not only significantly slows down the progressive development of Ukrainian society, but also creates or critically reinforces a number of threats to the country's national security. It is proved that "Ukrainian identity and national security are the basic values of Ukrainian existence", which are interconnected and interdependent and are the fundamental foundations of the existence of Ukrainian society and the state on which the future of Ukraine is built.
