The project screened the activity of the synthesized compounds (15 molecules) against GABA A-type receptor-channel complexes of Purkinje neurons. Compound Z 172726-2640 was found to enhance the activity of GABA receptors, and compounds Z 17810-576, Z 40931-3995 and Z 81369-2644 showed a moderate inhibitory effect on GABA A-type receptor-channel complexes. Further research and possible optimization of the structure of the molecule Z 172726-2640 may be successful in creating a prototype of a new class of modulators of GABA A-type receptors to create anticonvulsant drugs.
