Description

 The search for new compounds that are able to regulate the activity of GABA receptors at the same time with no side effects of drugs based on them is of great relevance to medicine. The project screened the activity of the synthesized compounds (15 molecules) against GABA A-type receptor-channel complexes of Purkinje neurons. Compound Z 172726-2640 was found to enhance the activity of GABA receptors, and compounds Z 17810-576, Z 40931-3995 and Z 81369-2644 showed a moderate inhibitory effect on GABA A-type receptor-channel complexes. Further research and possible optimization of the structure of the molecule Z 172726-2640 may be successful in creating a prototype of a new class of modulators of GABA A-type receptors to create anticonvulsant drugs.
