In the process of scientific research the concept and program of research are developed, the terminological analysis of basic concepts of research is carried out, theoretical approaches to research of a problem in works of leading scientists and documents of the international organizations are studied. Based on the comparative pedagogical analysis of the quality assurance of pedagogical education in the systems of continuing pedagogical education in Australia, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Austria, USA, Finland, Hungary, Turkey, the mechanisms and tools of the outlined procedure are revealed. According to the thematic plan of scientific research in 2020 the fundamental research "Theory and practice of quality assurance of pedagogical education in foreign countries" RK Р 0120U100230 in the following directions: theoretical and methodological principles of quality assurance of higher pedagogical education; development of external and internal systems for ensuring the quality of pedagogical education in socially and economically developed foreign countries; standardization of professional training and activities of teachers; accreditation of educational programs and institutions of pedagogical education; development of criteria for assessing the quality of pedagogical education; activities of national education quality assurance agencies.
