This report describes the experimental equipment used for the application of biocompatible coatings and a detailed description of the technology for the synthesis of films of tantalum compounds and hydrocyapatite. The results of experimental researches of both magnetron discharge and properties of synthesized coatings, including physical-mechanical and medical-biological properties, are presented. The optimal parameters of plasma and charged particle fluxes, which provide the synthesis of coatings with the best tribological properties and biological parameters of the body's response, are presented. The physical principles of controlling the properties of multilayer coatings for implantology are described.
