The purpose of the work is to study the peculiarities of growth, accumulation of biologically active substances, antibacterial and antifungal activity of fungi from the divisions of Basidiomycota and Ascomycota under different cultivation conditions, to determine the ways of their use. Research method - critical analysis of literature and patent sources; microbiological, mycological. A literature and patent search were conducted on the issues of optimal parameters necessary to ensure the growth of macromycetes and for improvement of their physiological activity. The possibility of 30 species of macromycetes cultivating on substrates with oil and fat production wastes has been clarified. The antagonistic activity of macromycetes against Aspergillus niger, Mucor sp., Penicillium polonicum, Issatchenkia orientalis, Candida albicans was studied and the antagonistic index for 31 species of macromycetes was calculated. Hohenbuehelia myxotricha has been selected as a new promising biotechnology facility with a potentially broad spectrum of antifungal activity. The peculiarities of H. myxotricha growth in culture were studied and the influence of cultivation conditions on the acquisition of antifungal activity by culture fluid was revealed. The basic cultivation parameters and basic physiological nutritional needs required for the growth of Pleurotus eryngii and the synthesis of exopolysaccharides were clarified. The growth of Pleurotus nebrodensis under different culture conditions was studied and it was found that cellulose and yeast extract contributed to better acquisition of antifungal activity against the studied Aspergillus niger, Issatchenkia orientalis, Candida albicans. The positive effect of ultraviolet radiation on the growth and antibacterial activity of the culture fluid Fomitopsis betulina was established.
