Little studied issues of the history of Slavic languages and literatures were explored considering new approaches in linguistics and literary criticism and the study of new phenomena in languages and literatures of Slavic peoples that require scientific understanding and introduction into scholarly discourse (language of advertising, problems of bilingual dictionary making, lexical innovations, literary relations, formation of a fiction literary model, postmodern poetics). The research also focused on typological parallels between them as an important element of a comprehensive study of Slavic languages and literatures. Significant phenomena in the history of Slavic studies were explored (at the level of scientific schools and personalities).
